Position: Assistant Coach
Brett Doe, the first-year head coach at Tyler Junior College (Texas), joins Cook’s staff for his first season with Chatham in 2025. Doe joined TJC after three years as the head coach at Dodge City Community College (Kansas), where he racked up nearly 100 wins. Prior to leading the Conquistadors, Doe spent five seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Navarro College (Texas). Doe helped lead his alma mater to the 2019 NJCAA Baseball World Series and a .646 win percentage. An NJCAA National Champion as a player at Navarro, Doe moved on to play at Baylor University for two seasons in 2013 and 2014, where he was named a team captain. The Minnesota Twins drafted Doe in the 38th round of the MLB Draft in 2014. He played two seasons professionally before coaching.
Tanner Riley, a former standout Division-I reliever, makes his coaching debut with Chatham in 2025. Riley joins the Chatham staff after a four-year professional career that’s taken him from Fargo, North Dakota to Cleburne, Texas, in the American Association of Professional Baseball. In 2024 and 2025, Riley played for the Geelong Baycats of the Victorian Summer Baseball League in Australia. Riley began his collegiate career with two seasons at Navarro College (Texas), where he was coached by fellow Chatham assistant Brett Doe en route to a NJCAA Baseball World Series berth. In 2020, Riley transferred to Abilene Christian University. In three seasons with the Wildcats, he pitched to a sub-4.00 ERA with 130 strikeouts in 91.2 innings.
A 2014 MLB Draft selection, Taylor Sanagorski joins Chatham’s coaching staff in 2025. Sanagorski is currently in his first season as an assistant coach at Hutchinson Community College (Kansas) after five years on the staff at Butler Community College (Kansas). Last summer, Sanagorski served as an assistant coach in the Alaska Summer Collegiate Baseball League, where he help guide the Anchorage Bucs to the league title. Sanagorski was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 39th round in 2014, but opted to begin his collegiate career at Wichita State University. He played two seasons for the Shockers before he transferred to Emporia State University, where he played three seasons and helped the Hornets to a conference title.

Prior to joining the staff at Prep, Powell was the head coach for 13 years at Jackson Academy, where he skippered the Raiders to a state MAIS title in 2011. A former first-round pick out of Mississippi State University, Powell was the winning pitcher in Game 7 of the 1997 World Series for the Florida Marlins, where he was teammates with Chatham manager Dennis Cook.
