Chatham’s Rispoli, Watters, Cervantes, Luzarraga named 2026 CCBL All-Stars
CHATHAM, Mass. — Four Chatham Anglers were named to the 2026 Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star Game, the league announced Saturday. The All-Star Game is set to take place at Whitehouse Field in Harwich on Saturday, July 18.

Here are Chatham’s four All-Stars:

Rob Rispoli (UConn)

Rispoli, who’s been with Chatham since Opening Day, will start at second base for the East All-Stars. While he primarily played shortstop for UConn last season, the Staten Island, New York, native has spent most of his time playing second and hitting leadoff for the A’s.

Through 18 games with the Anglers, Rispoli is hitting .264 with an .836 OPS. Rispoli leads the Cape League with a .459 on base percentage, and is tied for the league lead with 16 walks. He’s also totaled 14 hits, 13 runs scored and nine runs batted in.

Bino Watters (LSU)

As one of the hottest hitters in the Cape currently, Watters will start in the outfield for the East Division. The LSU-bound outfielder, who spent last season at Notre Dame, has been a staple at the top of the Chatham order since arriving in late June.

Watters has started 19 games for the Anglers, hitting .324 with an .836 OPS. He’s tied for first on the Cape with 17 RBIs, and ranks sixth in the league with 22 hits. Five of those have gone for extra bases, including a solo home run on June 28. Since then, Watters has been red-hot on his 11-game hit streak.

Angel Cervantes (UCLA)

Cervantes, who’s been Chatham’s ace this season, was named a reserve pitcher for the East Division. Cervantes has pitched to a minuscule 0.66 earned run average, which ranks sixth of all qualified pitchers in the Cape League. The right-hander’s allowed just one run across three starts and 13.2 innings of work for the A’s.

Cervantes has struck out 14 batters, allowed 10 hits and walked five batters in that span. His .192 opponent batting average is also a top-15 mark in the league. He had a case to be the East Division’s starter, but will still likely see some innings early in the All-Star Game.

Max Luzarraga (Dallas Baptist)

Luzarraga, who’s been one of Chatham’s most reliable relievers, will also be on the East Division’s pitching staff Saturday. The right-hander hasn’t allowed an earned run in 10.2 innings of work for the A’s, making one start and four appearances out of the bullpen.

Luzarraga has struck out 14 batters and issued just five walks in that span. His 0.94 WHIP and .139 opponent batting average ranks second of all active Chatham pitchers. He’ll look to eat up an inning or two for the East All-Stars on Saturday.
