Former Chatham pitcher Seth Etherton and infielder Grant Green have been elected to the Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame's 2026 class, the league announced Thursday. They're set to become the 34th and 35th Hall of Famers in Chatham team history.

Seth Etherton | Pitcher, USC | Chatham 1995-96

A two-time All-Star, Etherton left Chatham as one of the most dominant Cape League pitchers of the 1990s. He pitched to a 1.29 ERA across 49 innings in 1995, then returned to the A's after his sophomore year, piloting Chatham to the league title while compiling a 1.95 ERA in 50 innings. Across his 99 innings pitched in the league, Etherton struck out 133 hitters, including 29 in the span of two appearances in 1996. He went on to earn First-Team All-America honors and lead USC to the 1998 national championship before he was selected in the first round of the MLB Draft. Etherton appeared in four Major League seasons for Anaheim, Cincinnati, Oakland and Kansas City. His post-playing career has included time as pitching coach at the University of San Francisco, in the Reds organization and at his alma mater. He'll be the 13th Chatham pitcher inducted to the Hall of Fame and the first since Mark Petkovsek in 2016.

Grant Green | Infielder, USC | Chatham 2008

Green hit .291 for Yarmouth Dennis in 2007, then returned to the Cape League with the A's in 2008, where he delivered one of the best offensive seasons by a Chatham player this century. An All-League shortstop and recipient of the league's Robert A. McNeece Award as Most Outstanding Pro Prospect, Green hit .348 for the A's, driving in 21 runs and clubbing six home runs — plus the memorable two-run shot that helped the East Division to victory in the 2008 Cape League All-Star Game at Veterans Field. An All-American and All-Pac-10 performer at USC, Green was a first-round pick in the 2009 MLB Draft and played five major league seasons with Oakland, Anaheim, San Francisco and Washington. He's set to become the 16th former Chatham position player enshrined into the Cape League Hall of Fame.

The 2026 Cape League Hall of Fame induction ceremony is set for November 15 at Wequassett Resort in Harwich.
