CHATHAM, Mass. — The Chatham Athletic Association announced additions to its Media Team Tuesday.
Cooper Andrews and Mauricio Palmar, two students in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, will serve as Chatham’s beat writers for the 2025 Cape Cod Baseball League season.
“We are delighted to have Cooper with us for a second summer and to welcome Mauricio to the team,” CAA Media Consultant Dan D'Uva said. "Cooper and Mauricio are passionate, growth-minded journalists driven by curiosity and the ambition to excel."
Andrews and Palmar will write stories for Chatham’s website, report news on the club’s social media platforms, edit gameday stat sheets and shape other publications. Their content will include opponent previews and game stories for each Anglers matchup along with feature stories throughout the season.
"Cooper stands out as one of the country's top student journalists," D'Uva said. "His year of experience in Chatham, along with leadership positions at The Daily Orange, will benefit our entire group and elevate our standards. Mauricio's enthusiasm, versatility and ingenuity will bolster and broaden our team's approach to storytelling.
"Together, Cooper and Mauricio will carry on our tradition of superb reporting — to document, inform and entertain with accuracy, fairness and objectivity. We will be immersed in the 2025 summer season through their writing."
Andrews and Palmar join broadcasters Jake Klein and Hudson Ridley on Chatham’s 2025 media team. The Anglers host Falmouth to open the season on Saturday, June 14.
