Anglers Meet Firebirds in Annual Fourth of July Contest
Orleans and Chatham face off again on Monday, but with added significance.
Independence Day matchups in Chatham have historically drawn the largest CCBL crowd of the year. Monday should be no exception as Dominic Leone (Clemson) takes the bump against the Firebirds' Mike Hauschild (Dayton).
In three appearances, Leone boasts a 1.64 ERA and a dozen punchouts over 11 frames of work. For Hauschild, it will be his seventh appearance on the 2011 season but first start. The righty holds a 1.59 ERA and an even 0-0 record.
Coming off a 7-3 victory last night, Orleans improved to 9-8-2 and Chatham's skid extended to five games. The Anglers (5-13-1) lead the league in homers with 12 but are last in ERA (4.11).
Monday's game kicks off at 7 p.m. ET.
