CHATHAM ANGLERS MEDIA TEAM 2018



                                    COOPER BOARDMAN  BROADCASTER – SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY
                                    Cooper Boardman joins the Chatham Anglers media team as one of play-by-play broadcasters. He is a native of Westport, CT and attends
                                    Syracuse University where he is majoring in sports journalism. Cooper will be entering his sophomore year in September 2018. He has
                                    been broadcasting sports since his high school years.  His talent was recognized very early on as his play-by-play of high school basketball
                                    won an Emmy Award. Other awards received in high school included the John Drury National High School Radio Award, the Golden
                                    Microphone Award, Columbia Scholastic Press Association Medals and the New York Yankees Junior Broadcasting Contest winner. He
                                    has experience with summer collegiate baseball as he did play-by-play and other media work for the Danbury Westerners of the New
                                    England Collegiate Baseball League the last two summers. Cooper has had various other experiences in multimedia. He brings a wealth
                                    of experience and skills to the media team.

                                    JULIA HOPKINS  PHOTOGRAPHER – BOSTON COLLEGE
                                    Julia Hopkins joins the Chatham Anglers media team as the team’s photographer. She is a native of Rhode Island and attends Boston
                                    College where she is majoring in Studio Art with a concentration in Photography and a math minor. Julia will be entering her senior
                                    year in September. Her work can be found in the Boston College student newspaper, The Heights, where she has been the Photography
                                    Editor since her freshman year. Other work can be found in additional Boston College publications including freelance assignments
                                    for campus clubs, BC Athletics, the Boston College Chronicle and Boston College Magazine. She also interned at Boston Magazine. She
                                    brings a wealth of technical and creative skills to the photographer position.




                                    JOSH SCHAEFER  BROADCASTER – ARIZONA STATE
                                    Josh Schaefer joins the Chatham Anglers media team as one of the team’s broadcasters. The native Southern Californian attends Arizona
                                    State where he is majoring in sports journalism. Josh will be entering his junior year in September. He has been broadcasting sports since
                                    his high school years. He has experience with summer collegiate baseball as he did play-b- play for a team in the California Collegiate
                                    Baseball League. He has also spent time as the play-by-play broadcaster for a variety of Arizona State sports including their baseball and
                                    softball teams this past spring. Josh has had various other experiences in media as a reporter and host of a sports talk show at Arizona
                                    State. This summer will be Josh’s first experience on the East Coast.




                                    DAVID SCHNEIDMAN  WRITER (FEATURES) AND SOCIAL MEDIA – SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY
                                    David Schneidman joins the Chatham Anglers media team as the team’s feature writer and social media intern. He is a native of
                                    Connecticut and attends Syracuse University where he is majoring newspaper and online Journalism. David will be entering his junior
                                    year in September. David has been a writer for The Daily Orange, Syracuse University’s daily student newspaper. He has also written
                                    scripts for four short films. David has experience as a sportswriter intern for his hometown newspaper. He will be writing feature stories
                                    about the Chatham Anglers and assisting in various social media platforms.
