2022 PLAYERS CHATHAM ANGLERS




                             HAYDEN DURKE - RHP, LOUISIANA LAFAYETTE

                             SOPHOMORE, 6-FOOT-3, 205 LBS.
                             Durke toes the rubber a half-hour away from his hometown of Abbeville, Louisiana. The former No. 1 overall prospect out of
                             Louisiana according to Perfect Game started on opening day his freshman season, one of eight games out of the gate. Durke’s
                             sophomore campaign finds him out of the bullpen. As of May 9, in 10 appearances out of the bullpen, the righty had 12 strikeouts.
                             Durke punched out a season-high four batters against Louisiana Tech on April 5.



                             GUY GARIBAY JR. - OF/1B, RICE
                             SOPHOMORE, 6-FOOT-0, 210 LBS.

                             Garibay Jr. is a Swiss Army knife for Rice. In just his second season, the Texan roamed the outfield, posted at first base, and
                             stepped on the mound for the Owls. In his freshman campaign, Garibay Jr. hit over .230 and totaled 29 innings on the bump.
                             As of May 9, the lefty hadn’t toed the rubber, but was one of two Rice batters with an OPS over .400.  Last summer, Garibay Jr.
                             played ten games for the Healdsburg Prune Packers in the California Collegiate League and hit .294.



                             TREY GIBSON - RHP, LIBERTY
                             SOPHOMORE, 6-FOOT-5, 230 LBS.

                             Gibson made an impact in Lynchburg from his first start. The Yorktown, Virginia native earned the ASUN Freshman of the Year
                             award in 2021 with a 3.34 ERA in 65 innings. Gibson also punched out 70 batters en route to an NCAA Tournament appearance.
                             The Freshman All-American had 11 starts, as of May 9, an ERA north of 6 and 55 strikeouts.




                             CADEN GRICE - 1B/LHP, CLEMSON
                             SOPHOMORE, 6-FOOT-6, 240 LBS.

                             Grice returns to Chatham for a second season after his sophomore campaign at Clemson. The South Carolinian made the 2021
                             Golden Spikes Award Watch List, annually awarded to the nation’s best collegiate player. Grice’s resumé for the award included
                             a .617 slugging and 15 home runs, both team bests. As of May 9, the lefty had 11 home runs and a batting average over .250.
                             Grice played nine games for the Anglers last season and hit two home runs. The first-team freshman All-American is the 15th
                             ranked prospect in the 2023 draft by Perfect Game.


                             BEN HAMPTON - LHP, WEST VIRGINIA
                             SOPHOMORE, 6-FOOT-1, 205 LBS.

                             Hampton took the Big 12 by storm. The southpaw earned a spot on the conference’s All-Freshman team in 2021. Hampton
                             struck out 47 batters and walked only 15 in a season that ended in the Big 12 Tournament. As of May 9, the Wisconsin native
                             had thrown five or more strikeouts in 10 of his 11 starts. Hampton’s ERA sat just over 4.60 and led the team with 72 punch outs.





                             CHUCK INGRAM - OF, WICHITA STATE
                             SOPHOMORE, 6-FOOT-0, 210 LBS.

                             Ingram has been a consistent bat for Wichita State over the last two years. In his freshman campaign, the Kansas City, Missouri
                             native hit .225 with three home runs and eight RBIs. Ingram also slugged six multi-hit games. As of May 9, that average jumped
                             to .296. The lefty had raked 13 home runs and a Shockers-leading 46 RBIs. Chuck is the son of Jeff Ingram, a former catcher for
                             the South Bend White Sox, a Single-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, in 1990.
