Chatham Anglers
Longtime Chatham A's officer Paul Galop was recently named the new commissioner of the Cape Cod Baseball League replacing Bob Stead who had resigned.

Paul served the Chatham Athletic Association as President and Treasurer for many years. In addition he headed up the ever expanding merchandise operation and was the public address announcer at Veteran's Field for many years. Over the years Paul and his wife Laurie were instrumental in putting together the first Chatham A's Alumni Reunion, Comedy Hour Fundraisers and were houseparents for a number of former A's players. Essentially there was not a job that Paul would not take on.

Paul has been involved with the CCBL for a number of years, serving on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He headed up the Hall of Fame Committee from its' inception.

Paul's dedication along with his wife Laurie and their children Kate and Pete will not be replaceable, but we all wish Paul the best as he takes on this new challenge. All of us who know Paul realize his love for the game, the league and all those involved.

Best wishes Paul and you know you will always be a major part of the Chatham A's family.
