The NCAA announced its 64-team field for the 2021 Division I Baseball Championship on Monday, including 29 players on the current permanent and temporary Chatham Anglers rosters. Six of the 16 No. 1 seeded teams feature 10 total Anglers, and altogether 15 teams represented in the tournament will feature an Angler.

Depending on how some teams perform, those on Chatham's active roster might miss the season-opener on June 20 ' the College World Series begins June 19, and the championship series runs from June 28-30. The regionals take place from June 4-7, with winners advancing to the Super Regionals the following week before the final teams descend on Omaha, Nebraska for the CWS. Arkansas, Texas and Vanderbilt, which are three of the top five overall seeds, feature seven current Anglers on their rosters and went a combined 128-40 during the 2021 season.

The Anglers' new schedule includes seven off days ' one per week ' during the regular season, with an eighth day off scheduled before the start of the playoffs. They'll have a four-game homestand from July 18-21 and a three-game homestand from July 11-13, and a Independence Day matchup against Orleans, the East Division's top two teams in 2019, is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Eldredge Park.
