Schedules set for Division Finals
The Chatham Anglers punched their ticket to the East Division Finals with a 3-1 win over the Harwich Mariners in Game 3 of the East Division Series. Chatham beat the Mariners two games to one in the series. On Monday August 8, the Anglers will head to Red Wilson Field for Game One of the East Division Finals against Yarmouth-Dennis. First pitch begins at 4:00 p.m. as Caleb Gilbert (2-2) takes the hill for Chatham. He will be opposed by Red Sox pitcher Bryan Sammons (1-0). The Anglers will then return to the confines of Veterans Field on Tuesday to host their second home playoff game this postseason. The contest will kick off at 7 p.m. on August 9. If a Game Three is neccessary, both Chatham and Y-D will return to Red Wilson Field for a deciding match at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, with the winner advancing to the CCBL Championship. Yarmouth-Dennis has won two consecutive CCBL Championships while the Anglers are seeking their sixth in the modern era.
