The Chatham Anglers Baseball Clinic

The Anglers Baseball Clinic returns in 2021 with five installments of the weekly program.

Chatham's highly-regarded clinic was featured in the documentary "Touching the Game." Several Chatham A's players serve as instructors.

One of the best ways for youngsters to improve on their baseball skills and to work up close with Chatham Anglers players is through the Chatham Anglers Championship Baseball Clinic for boys and girls ages 6-17. Each participant receives a free Chatham Anglers Clinic t-shirt.

The 2021 program features five weekly sessions sponsored jointly by the Chatham Rotary Club and the Chatham Athletic Association. Campers may be registered for any single week, or any series of weeks, but not individual days.

How to Register

Visit the registration table at the Veterans Field press box (behind home plate) Monday mornings. Registration opens at 8 a.m. each week. A parent or guardian must be present to register a participant. Registration includes payment (cash or check) and a completed registration form, known as a "Waiver Agreement." Online or mail-in registration is not available.

What to Bring

Parents/Guardians are advised to download, print, and complete "Waiver Agreement" in advance, however, "Waiver Agreement" forms are available at the Veterans Field registration table. The Chatham Anglers accept cash, or checks payable to "Chatham Athletic Association" or "Chatham Anglers." Sorry, credit cards are not accepted.

Participants must wear sneakers or cleats; metal spikes are permitted only for the 13+ camp. Participant must bring his/her own baseball glove, but bats and baseballs are provided. Bottled water and/or sports drinks are recommended, but not provided. Participants are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before camp each day.

Personalized Barnstable Bat

Each Monday at registration, participants may order a personalized, 30-inch wood bat made by the Barnstable Bat Company of Centerville, Mass. Each authentic wood bat -- available for $60 (including sales tax) -- comes with the participant's name engraved on the barrel. The Chatham Athletic Association receives a portion of the proceeds on each sale. The bats are delivered to camp Friday morning in time for an autograph session with the players.  This offer is only for Chatham Anglers Clinic participants.
