CHATHAM, Mass. — Change is everywhere in the Cape Cod Baseball League. Large groups of players arrive ahead of Opening Day all for most to leave in mass exodus mere weeks, even days, later. Year-by-year continuity is nonexistent. Every season brings a fresh adjustment.

For Chatham, though, consistency troubles extend beyond the players on the diamond. The Anglers went through five different managers over the last two years, including two interims. First-year skipper Dennis Cook is the latest man tasked with the responsibility of ending the A’s near-30-year CCBL championship drought.
