Broadcast Team Introduced

The Chatham Athletic Association is pleased to introduce the Anglers broadcast team for the 2016 season.

Jake Eisenberg, a rising senior at the University of Maryland, College Park, will partner with Evan Stockton, a rising junior at Syracuse University, for their first summers calling Cape League baseball. Eisenberg, from Port Washington, New York, and Stockton, from Milford, Michigan, will provide play-by-play for all regular season and postseason games on the Cape Cod Baseball Network. The duo debuts June 10 when Chatham hosts Falmouth at Veterans Field.

"Jake and Evan will provide informative, entertaining and professional commentary and continue Chatham's strong tradition in broadcasting excellence," said Dan D'Uva, the CAA's media consultant. "Their passion for the game—and for quality journalism—will make for an enjoyable, captivating listen. Fans will be immersed in the Anglers thanks to the diligence and care Jake and Evan put into their broadcasts."

Eisenberg and Stockton will lead Chatham's 14th year of live play-by-play broadcasting, with the Anglers offering online audio and toll-free telephone broadcasts for all games, plus video streaming for home games. In conjunction with long-time service provider TRZ Teamline, fans can enjoy all Chatham games free of charge. The Anglers' SoundCloud will feature broadcast archives, highlights, features, interviews and entire game broadcasts on demand. More information about the Cape Cod Baseball Network is available at Broadcast Central.

Jake Eisenberg | University of Maryland, College Park

Eisenberg comes to Cape Cod with a wealth of collegiate broadcasting experience. He serves as the co-director and lead broadcaster for the Maryland Baseball Network, performing play-by-play for over 40 Maryland Terrapins baseball games while managing a staff to create written, video and audio content for the network's website. Since arriving in College Park, Eisenberg has called a variety of Terrapin sports, ranging from men's basketball to field hockey for both the student-run radio station, WMUC Sports, and via live-stream for the Big Ten Network BTN Student U Productions. Eisenberg is a broadcast journalism major at Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism.

Evan Stockton | Syracuse University

Raised near Detroit, Michigan, Stockton began his broadcasting career at Detroit Catholic Central High School, where he broadcast Shamrock sports on the school's online radio network. Stockton also played football, hockey and baseball at Catholic Central, and served as sports editor for the school's newspaper. Majoring in broadcast and digital journalism at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Stockton works on the sports staffs of WAER and WJPZ radio, and serves as a broadcast intern for the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League. Stockton lists Ernie Harwell, Vin Scully and Brent Musburger among his broadcasting idols, and will be coming to Cape Cod for the first time this summer.
