Kyra Joy Harbacheck, the little sister of our very own
Joe Goodman's girlfriend, underwent spinal fusion surgery today. She has cerebral palsy and will be in a full body cast for the next six months. The family has to pay for the $90,000 surgery, and for two more wheelchairs. She will have to miss the rest of her senior year in high school as she recovers.
"She just puts a smile on everyone's face," Goodman said. "She is my biggest fan."
Everyone on the Angler team will be wearing silver wristbands for the rest of the season, and some will be for sale at the merchandise store. During the games, the Angler players will be going around collecting money to help pay for her expenses.
"We just want to do our part to help her," Goodman said.
The Chatham players and organization ask you to keep her in your thoughts and prayers, and remind you that any donations while at the game would be a great help.
"We just want the family to know that they are not alone, and that we are there with them," Goodman said.
