The Chatham Anglers began the 2012 season with 23 alumni on Major League rosters and that numbers has since jumped to 28. Below is a list of former Chatham players active in the Major Leagues. The list includes players from every Chatham team from 1996 to 2008. The Cubs' Shawn Camp the oldest player (36) and Colorado's Alex White the youngest (23). The Cubs' David DeJesus and the Orioles' Brian Roberts are the most veteran with 11 big-league seasons each. Pittsburgh's Jared Hughes (pictured) has the most limited major-league experience (11 innings for the Pirates in 2011), but makes his first Opening Day major league roster in 2012.
During the season, check back for updates as this list changes frequently. Any point during the regular season could present an opportunity for a player fresh out of Chatham or a more seasoned alumni returning from an injury or resurrecting their career.
