Despite completing a 4-2 comeback win over Harwich on Tuesday, Orleans' concurrent victory over Wareham knocked the Anglers out of playoff contention. Chatham now hosts Yarmouth-Dennis at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Veterans Field for its final game of the season.

Probable Pitchers

Owen Stevenson (San Francisco) will make his third start with the Anglers. The righty has recorded a 1.65 ERA with nine strikeouts through 16.1 innings. Stevenson completed seven scoreless innings in his most recent start, pitching the bulk of Chatham's only shutout this season.

Matthew Kavanaugh will face the Anglers for the second time this season. He allowed one run ' unearned ' on two hits and two walks in 0.2 innings against Chatham on June 24. The southpaw has pitched to a 4.86 ERA over seven appearances. He will make his first start of the season on Wednesday.

Chatham Players to Watch

Will Butcher (UNC Charlotte) rides a three-game hitting streak into Chatham's final contest. He belted his first home run of the season in the Anglers' win Tuesday, a solo shot to left field. Butcher is hitting .286 through 14 at-bats with Chatham this summer.

Cooper Ingle (Clemson) maintains a .401 on-base percentage into Chatham's last matchup. Ingle has reached safely in 10 consecutive games and smacked his first home run of the season on Tuesday.

Y-D Players to Watch

Cole Carrigg is fourth in the league in batting average, hitting .319 through 138 at-bats. The switch-hitting utility man has recorded a hit in all but one of the Red Sox's five matchups against Chatham this summer.

Jonathon Long has launched a team-leading five home runs this season, one of which came against Chatham on July 15. Long homered on Sunday and has recorded three hits over his past four games.

Stat to Know ' 46

While Chatham has been eliminated from postseason contention, Y-D and Brewster are tied for first in the East Division with 46 points each, meaning the Red Sox can secure their place atop the division with a win or tie Wednesday.

Last Time They Played

Chatham earned its first road win on July 16, beating Y-D 6-2 at Red Wilson Field in a game shortened to seven innings due to darkness. The Red Sox pounced on Anglers starter Cam Brown, plating two runs in the bottom of the first. However, Alex McFarlane allowed one hit over five shutout innings in a dominant effort out of Chatham's bullpen.

Guy Garibay Jr. (Rice) smacked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth to put Chatham ahead 4-2. The Anglers added two more runs on a sacrifice fly and an error in the top of the seventh.
