Chatham opens 2021 season at Falmouth in updated CCBL schedule

Chatham's new schedule for the 2021 season has been released, with its season-opener set for June 20 at Falmouth before the Anglers return to Veterans Field the next day and face Orleans.

Their regular season still includes 40 games as originally planned, but Chatham's campaign now concludes at home against Harwich on Aug. 4 instead of a home-and-home series with Orleans on July 31 and Aug. 1. The 2021 season also no longer contains an All-Star game, as Chatham now hosts Bourne on July 24 instead.

The Anglers' new schedule includes seven off days ' one per week ' during the regular season, with an eighth day off scheduled before the start of the playoffs. They'll have a four-game homestand from July 18-21 and a three-game homestand from July 11-13, and a Independence Day matchup against Orleans, the East Division's top two teams in 2019, is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Eldredge Park.

The CCBL postseason starts on August 6 and concludes on August 11, as previously scheduled in the original edition.
