The A's were unable to build off the momentum of their 3-2 win over Hyannis Saturday, as they fell 10-4 to Harwich at Whitehouse Field on Sunday. It appeared as if the A's offense would roll, as they capitalized on Ryan Quigley's wildness in the second inning. Walks to Evan Ocheltree and Gregg Glime put two men on as Aaron Miller was hit by a pitch. Witht eh bases loaded, a wild pitch scored Ocheltree. Glime scored on Cory Olson's fly ball to left field, and the A's had a 2-0 lead.

Down 2-0, the Mariner bats rallied against Chatham starter Charles Brewer with two outs. Jason Stidham reached on an infield single, and scored on Brandon Belt's double to right. Harwich took the lead in the third, as Joe Sanders singled in D.J. LeMahieu. Sanders scored on Jt Wise's RBI single, as Harwich had a 3-2 lead they would not relinquish. The Mariners put four on the board in the 4th, as they managed six hits while sending nine men to the plate. Charles Brewer departed in the inning, allowing five runs on the day. Matt Zoltak closed out the inning.

The Mariners added a run in the 5th, but Gregg Glime came up big for the A's in the sixth, as he launched his first home run of the season to left field. Jeff Cusick's solo home run reestablished the 6-run cushion for Harwich, a lead they'd expand to 7 runs in the 8th, as Joe Sanders added a solo home run of his own to ice the game at 10-3.

Charles Brewer falls to 0-1 on the season with the loss, while Harwich starter Ryan Quigley improves to 2-0 with both wins coming against the A's. Sunday's game was the last for A's Bobby Hernandez, Robert Papenhause, and John Folino, who saw their temporary contracts expire. Chatham has Monday off, and will play against Cotuit at 7 PM on Tuesday at Veterans Field. The A's Extra pregame show begins at 6:40 on chathamas.com
